CONGRATULATIONS 🎓🐕‍🦺

ADS is super excited to announce the placement of ADS Weston with his boy Ethan. A terrific bond has already started and we need to thank so many involved in this partnership.

Thank you to his first puppy raiser Lynna Li @wes.and.friends who did a phenomenal job before she moved away to further pursue her studies. Thank you to Kristina @kristinatofano and her family for finishing off Westons' training and being so committed to him and ADS.

Thank you to the entire ADS team that was involved in his success from puppy class training, home support training, pre advanced training with Janine and his final stop, advanced training with Julia @tales_of_a_working_puppy .

ADS received Weston through the @natlservicedogs breeding program for which we are so grateful.

It takes a team behind every placement including client services and fund development so we can continue to provide these quality of life service dogs to families at no cost.

So, join our team as a puppy raiser volunteer and get in on this feel good initiative supporting children and youth with autism.

This Thursday (March 23rd) @artwithheartguelph will be hosting an art sale in the UC court yard at the University of Guelph from 12-4pm! They will be selling art pieces made by their members with all proceeds being donated to ADS!❤️

RECRUITING PUPPY RAISERS!🐕‍🦺

We strongly encourage the following families and/or individuals to apply:
🐾Retired/Semi-Retired
🐾Stay-at-Home Parents
🐾Work-from-Home Employees
🐾Individuals with flexible schedules or the ability to take the puppy to work with you
🐾Mature Students
🐾MUST LOVE DOGS🐶❤️

Puppy raiser responsibilities:
🐾Provide basic training to puppies for the first 12-18 months
🐾Are resposnible for socializing and exposing the puppies to all different environments/people/experiences to prepare them to become certified service dogs
🐾Transport puppies to scheduled veterinary appointments (all approved vet care is covered by ADS)

ADS Provides:
🐾Puppy food
🐾Training equipment and manual
🐾Training classes held in Guelph, Cambridge, Hamilton, and Brantford
🐾1-on-1 training support

Orientation sessions and on-going training and support provided to all volunteers!❤️🐾

We are very pleased to announce that ADS Spark has been placed as a successor dog. Spark is supporting his young man, Jay!

What is a successor dog?

A successor dog is provided to a client if they still require the support of a service dog after their service dog has been retired. Chester is now supervising Spark making sure he is working to his max for his boy! Chester was an amazing service dog and now gets to rest and relax in his retirement years!
