Meet our hero – wonderful, funny, laughable, loving Finn.
If you have met him, you will know that your life has been touched by this child who laughs with pure joy and loves with his whole heart. Finn continues to amaze all of us with his hard work and determination as he redefines what being on the autism spectrum means. Finn wakes up every morning and asks if he is getting his dog soon. It is like waiting for a new arrival in our house – when will it get here? Will it be a boy or a girl? The one big difference being that this new addition will hopefully sleep through the night (with his new best friend) as Mom and Dad are tired of being woken up at 4am by a cherubic face that is scared and awake for the day. We also look forward to enjoying outings as a family with the dog so that we don’t have to worry about Finn going on walkabout or getting agitated when there is a crowd around. Finn’s school is very excited to meet their newest furry student as the dog will go to school and all classes with Finn and this will hopefully help with transitions and social interactions with his peers. Finn can’t wait for the day that his best friend arrives and neither can we!
